Air-Fryer Tornado Potatoes (Print)

Crispy spiraled potatoes air-fried and seasoned, ideal for snacking or as a fun side dish.

# Ingredients:

→ Potatoes

01 - 4 medium russet potatoes, scrubbed

→ Seasoning

02 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
03 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
04 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
05 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
06 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

→ Optional Toppings

07 - 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (omit for vegan)
08 - 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
09 - 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes

# Instructions:

01 - Insert a long wooden or metal skewer lengthwise through the center of each potato.
02 - Holding the skewer, use a sharp knife to cut the potato in a spiral motion, rotating the potato from one end to the other. Gently stretch the potato along the skewer to achieve even spacing between the spiral sections.
03 - Combine olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl, mixing thoroughly.
04 - Brush or rub the prepared seasoning over each spiraled potato, ensuring complete coverage between the spirals.
05 - Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
06 - Place the skewered potatoes in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not touch each other.
07 - Cook for 20–25 minutes, turning each skewer halfway through, until the potatoes are golden brown and crispy.
08 - Optional: Sprinkle with grated Parmesan, fresh parsley, and chili flakes before serving.
